Nationwide 24/7 free counselling phone line run by volunteers with training in counselling (call 0800 543 354)
 

Family Works Waikato
General family services including social workers, intervention, parenting programmes, family violence prevention, counselling, foodbank emergency food parcels, etc
 

Hamilton Parents Centre
Support networks and information, parenting courses, toy library, yoga, community events, Mini Rockers music and movement classes for under 5's
 

SPACE Waikato
Social support groups for new parents and babies, covering topics such as sleep, attachment, communication, becoming a parent, etc
 

Waikato Family Centre (Hamilton)
Free assessments by registered nurses, help and advice for breastfeeding, colic, crying, sleeping, nutrition, parenting and more
 

La Leche League Hamilton
Free Waikato-wide service run by mothers for mothers, information and support for breastfeeding
 

Barnardos
General child and family support, counselling, dealing with separation etc
 

Mothercraft Waikato
Live-in assistance and care for primary caregivers and their babies due to sleep issues, colic, poor weight gain, feeding issues, exhaustion, postnatal depression and anxiety
 

Single Parent Services (Hamilton-based, part of Birthright Waikato)
Counselling for parenting, grief, major life decisions, separation/divorce, anxiety and depression; social work; group activities
